Frequently asked questions
Welcome to Fémora.
Here, we’ve answered the most common questions about our jewellery, materials, and care — so you can shop with confidence and ease.
1. Does Fémora jewellery have resale value?
Fémora pieces are crafted with high-quality 18k gold vermeil over solid 92.5 pure sterling silver. While vermeil jewellery isn’t typically purchased for resale, the sterling silver base does hold intrinsic value, and clients may recover a portion of that if they choose to resell the metal. Our jewellery is created as timeless, luxury everyday pieces, meant to be worn, kept, and cherished.
2. Does Fémora jewellery tarnish?
With proper care, Fémora jewellery is highly resistant to tarnishing. Our vermeil uses a significantly thicker layer of gold compared to standard plating, ensuring durability and long-lasting shine. Like all precious metals, slight dullness may occur over time with exposure to water, sweat, perfumes, or chemicals, but overall our pieces maintain their lustre exceptionally well.
3. What value will I get back from it, and for which metal?
Any recoverable value comes from thepure 92.5 sterling silver base, which has a stable and recognized precious-metal value. Gold vermeil jewellery typically isn’t melted down for its gold content, but the silver core retains material worth in the market.
4. Will the shine last forever?
Fémora jewellery is designed to retain its shine beautifully for years. While no metal can guarantee everlasting, untouched brilliance, our premium vermeil craftsmanship ensures that pieces stay radiant with minimal care and proper storage.
5. How often does Fémora jewellery need polishing?
Polishing is seldom needed. A gentle wipe with a soft cloth occasionally is usually enough. For those who wear their pieces regularly, a professional polish once every 12–18 months can help maintain maximum shine. Fémora also plans to offer complimentary polishing services to make long-term care effortless.
